I have to say the first weekend of the New Year has been fairly unremarkable. Actually, that's not strictly true, one of my besties phoned me to tell me the wonderful news that her and Mr. J are having a baby, which I think is a fabulous start to the New Year. That's 2 of my besties expecting this year, I better get crafting.
Aside from that though, it's been a blur of watching corny horrors, and back to back episodes of Boardwalk Empire (hubby and I are totally addicted), washing curtains and windows, and general pottering. That said, it's not been unpleasant. I thought though, that rather than bore you with pictures of my bare naked bay window, and DVD cases, you'd probably rather see this outfit.

A couple of days before New Year hubby and I went to a Mod Ball. It was held at a local club, which often has live acts on, and there was a band playing lots of Mod music, and a fair few people in their best 60s gear. It's always nice when people have made an effort isn't it?

I was wearing 3 of my Christmas presents in this outfit, my new boots, fab new necklace, and stunning vintage box bag (yes I got 2 vintage bags for Christmas) all from hubby. Alas, the vintage bag failed to make the photos, so all the more excuse to get it next time.

* I'm glad you all liked the vintage bag in my last post. Mum found it at a vintage shop, but it's actually deadstock from a posh department store that closed down many years ago, which is why it is in such tremendous condition.
